The CSGO PGL Major Krakow 2017 will be the eleventh CSGO major tournament to occur, and will be held in the TAURON arena in Krakow, Poland between the 16th and 23rd July 2017. Sixteen teams will compete, with eight being awarded their place based on their results in the ELEAGUE Major 2017. Another eight teams will earn their place by competing in an Offline Major Qualifier.

Once the sixteen teams have been determined, they will be split into two groups of eight and will compete in Counter-Strike group matches. The winners of these matches will advance to quarter finals, those winners will advance to semi-finals and the remaining two teams will play in a final to determine the champion.

So far eight legend teams have been selected for the PGL Major Krakow 2017. Here are the standings so far:

These teams have earned their position in the tournament based on their previous results in the EL Major Atlanta 2017. Another eight teams will join the legends in the tournament, and these will be known as challengers. The challengers are awarded their place in the Krakow tournament because of their performances in a regional qualifier.

There are four regional qualifiers in total, the Asian Minor, the CIS Minor, the Americas Minor and the Europe Minor.

Two teams from the Asia Minor, Two from the CIS Minor, Two from the Americas Minor and three from the Europe Minor will join already decided upon teams in a Swiss tournament to determine who will join the legend teams in the PGL Major Krakow. The teams already in the regional qualifiers are:

Game Results and Prizes

The tournament has one of the biggest prize pools in the esports industry with $1,000,000 to be shared between the competing teams. The victors receive half of the spoils, a $500,000 kitty to boost the player’s bank accounts.
